...and some other thoughts

  • Maybe he will let the immigrants stay if they go to the Capitol, beat up some cops, and defecate on the Rotunda floor.
  • Until now, I've tended to refer to the present occupant of the white House as Pussygrabber, out of deference to his well-known, self-declared, forensically proven affinity for that mode of sexual assault. But, I've had second thoughts. The dignity of his office, his own conduct and demonstrated aspirations regarding it, and his criminal record would be more accurately reflected by a different appellation. So, from now on, I'll call him the Fraudster-in-Chief, or FinC, for short.
  • The so-called "mainstream" or "legacy" media continue to run around, chasing the lede and missing it every time. They cover FinC's words and acts as if they manifested something the media likes to label "policy" and "agenda." In fact, FinC has no policies in the sense of considered, strategic approaches to solving public problems, and no agenda other than personal enrichment, punishment against anyone whom he believes is inclined to oppose him and capable of doing so effectively, and avoidance of prison. There is nothing he will not say or do to achieve these ends, no promise he won't make, no one he won't betray, no position that he will not abandon as soon as he deems it expedient to do so in connection with some transaction. Transaction: the key context for all FinC's words and actions; the key word against which all FinC's words and acts should be evaluated. It's all payoff and payback, and smoke and mirrors. The sooner the New York Times shows an understanding of that, the sooner I'll renew my subscription.
  • In today's news, FinC moves to combat General Mark Milley's accusation that he's a fascist by canceling the former Joint Chiefs of Staff Chair's security detail and revoking his security clearance. You can't make this shit up.
